Nautilus! grin More seriously, depends on what you're looking for in the application. Personally I do like the well-integrated Nautilus/Serpentine combo for simple stuff.
I do like K3B and I use that whenever I'm in a KDE environment but I tend to use Gnomebaker most, it's does everything I want and runs great in Gnome... as the name suggests :)
@MriGnS I am sure k3b is good stuff, but i am using gnome desktop and didn't want to install 14 different kde dependent packages for single software :)
Not sure how Gnomebaker compares to K3B really, I only use the basic burning functionality of them both and that works great. I suspect K3B might have more tools for added functions though like media ripping as you say.
I just need something that will burn data or media to a disc so I'm not a demanding user :)
@MRiGnS I see, yeah! you are right! looks like k3b is more advanced and designed for multimedia power users. it's true "best is relative". I guess for me; just needed a simple and easy cd-burning software to create data-cd. Definitely, for video and multimedia related stuff, k3b look very promising. i don't see any video stuff on Brasero (there is audio tho).

yup, nautilus is also good, but gnomebaker is not working well for me. I'll go with nautilus and have k3b installed in case I need it

Brasero is nice if you want to stick to GTK, I like K3b more. Nautilus' burner has some historical issues.

Looks like gnomebaker is not official GNOME project no? it's not listed here @ http://www.gnome.org/projects/ list page. Brasero is listed tho.
