ThinkFree Premium Offline rocks! Google Docs & Zoho look like WordPad compared to it. Anyone else on the beta program?

I don't think I do, unfortunately... You have to sign up on their website and wait for it. Sorry :-(

Have not tried it yet. Is there a Mac version?

Ah one of those online web bits. My next question: Can it fully support Excel macros?

on the website, it states that Over 300 Excel Compatible Functions - but not sure, what functions.

Looking at their suite of ThinkFree solutions, they sure can handle many different kind of ThinkFree usage.

And yes, some of the screendumps seems to be made on Mac

I haven't tested it enough to tell you about Excel macros. But yes, I'm using the Mac version. Works like a charm.

Cool. I shall have to give a try, see if it works with the Macros my company uses.

One thing I know for sure is it handles some macros. Last summer I had the FIFA World Cup Excel spreadsheet on it and everything was perfect.

    Rubin,

    Thanks for trying it out.

In answer to some of the questions - while we don't support macros, or the VBE scripting environment we do support over 300 formulas. We are looking at adding macros in a JavaScript environment. We would love to hear feedback on that idea.

Yes we support Mac, Linux, and that other one. We run equally well on IE, Firefox, and (to a lesser extent) Safari. Once Safari upgrades support for AJAX our Quick Edit version will run equally well there too. Power Edit was built in Java so no problems on Safari there.

We hope to expand our beta program as soon as we get some good feedback on this version.

    Thanks, Jonathan ThinkFree

I have almost completely switched to Think Free Premium and away from MS Office since gaining access to the beta. I work every day on both a MacBook and a Tablet PC and also use a variety of small-format mobile devices (Asus UMPC, Nokia N800, Nokia N95, and Apple iPhone). The fact that all of my documents are always in sync and accessible (to one degree or another) on all of these devices is a game changer in my opinion.

Because ThinkFree Office can be accessed from any connected PC, I can quickly and easily get at my docs even when I'm without one of my computers and work securely. And, the ability to invite others to view, comment, and/or edit collaboratively with me is easy to use and always accessible whether I'm working in the local client or the web office.

Disclaimer: I'm an adviser to ThinkFree and make no claims about being completely objective about their products. In fact, the reason I engaged with the company is because I'm so impressed with their vision and quality execution.
