By the new macbook pro, and install parallels for VMware. That's my thinking right now and i'll be trying that when it's approved. I have a dell, but need a mac every so often. This is coming from a die hard Windows users.
The Macbook Pro. I've had one for a year now as my primary work machine. It is my single, best IT weapon... ever. It runs every OS I need to support and runs it well. A Dell cannot do that. If you must support multiple clients on multiple operating systems, you owe it to yourself to get a Macbook Pro.
@chibbigirl I actually do engineering work, I'm just too broke to buy a mac right now lol... but it figures you wouldnt do any kind of engineering they just give aggies diplomas for anything lol
If you run windows on the MBP be carefull, they have all kinds of issues. Oh ya be aware if you install the firmware update on the MAC side it activates something that will not allow you to use ANYTHING but an official Windows XP Disk!! Also be sure to update to the newest version of bootcamp, tho I have had issues with that as well. Parrallels works pretty good, except when running some software apps for windows.
500 MBP's loaded and sent out!!! Whoot!
haha - I have been trying to justify why I need one as well. I'm in IT and I use Fedora & windoze, but use MAC at home. I don't want a Macbook PRO w/4GB memory; I badly NEED one.
Lucky you then, the First Gens were the worst. Joggly mouse, lost drivers (graphics and WLAN) Freezing, lockups, White screens, Random Restarts, those were pretty annoying for sure, but it looks like you lucked out. The newest bootcamp really fixed many of those issues, but still no print screen/insert mapping support.

I've been a PC guy my entire life but I love's my MacBookPro. Now they can come with 4Gb of RAM! I'm jealous. Parallels is fantastic.
Getting a good office program really sucks, though.

Flexibility. Best of both worlds. You can run anything.
