As far as web goes, I have to say Google Reader. I used to use BlogLines, but they just had too many bugs that they were not addressing, so when Google finally fixed their reader so that it was useable, I switched over and have used it ever since.
google reader rocks and i use it , but i want offline functionality , they offer offline functionality through google gears browser extention , but it doesnot work with me
Yep, these days I use NetNewsWire (Mac program that is free now) and Newsgator on my iPhone. The iPhone interface for Newsgator is just perfect for feed reading and since it syncs with NNW and FeedDemon, you don't reread posts when at your computer.
I don't use Windows anymore so I can't really say much about FD. I had taken a look at FD back when I did use Windows. It seemed pretty good, but there are so many choices that are free on Windows (and the Mac for that matter) that I couldn't justify paying for a reader.
Google Reader's definitely my favourite - no more synchronising, has offline mode if I want it (tried it, it works, but never really use it), and it has an aggregate view of all feeds, which strangely is missing from a lot of feed readers.

I used to use Google Reader, but lately I've been using and have been pretty happy with Feed Demon. It works offline and syncs up with Newsgator.

I use the firefox plugin sage. It does everything I want without getting in the way of real life.
