Oh, and I didn't even address that "PC or MAC or Apple" isn't really a very broad set of choices. All Macs are Apples, and all Macs are also PCs, using the original meaning as "Personal Computer". Some Apples are not PCs (or Macs), because they're iPhones or iPods.
Well you are definitely right.... guess I was wondering if the C64 turned others into computer addicts like moi. I remember having the C64 and 128 but then there was the TRS80 and then I was somehow able to get my first DOS machine but even then I was faithful to my C64. Just wanted to see if there were others that remembered the good 'ol C64.
After posting that I forgot that this is not the group where that event happened. :)
In one of my IRC channels a number of years ago, some dolt kept coming in repeatedly saying he wanted to ask a technical question, and then it would be something like the Linux/Pentium one, or "Where can I download DSL". Pretty funny, that he'd come up with a new one every time we kicked him out of the channel and he'd pop right back in with it...
I first used an IBM mainframe. My first pc was a Win-tel machine because I was poor, though I prefer Mac OS and finally bought an Apple a year and a half ago. I hear that means I am now smug.

"into" technophobia? Do you mean "out of"? A technophobe wouldn't be a "geek with a computer".
