Stephen Fry has read Audio Books - he's the voice on the UK Harry Potter books and his own novels are funny. Oh and I love Audible.

I would like to hear his rendition of Harry Potter. There's a certain um.. pressured urgency to the reader of the American audio edition that bugs me.

Audible does have several books read by Fry including Paddington, Hitchhiker's Guide the the Galaxy, and Montmorency. I'm ordering the last right now.

I'd also reccomend looking up his own books (probably not available 'on tape') as they make for a brilliantly funny, if slightly difficult read.

Leo, In regards to your comments on TWiT(which im listening to this second) - I'm on novel #20 of the Aubrey/Marturin series - been reading them for about a year now & am just finishing it. If you loved the Patrick O'Brien series make sure you read C.S. Forrester's "Horatio Hornblower" series and Alexander Kent's "Richard Bolitho" series. Also, there is a new series starting by a guy named Jay Worral deemed the "Charles Edgemont" series which is quite interesting. So far there are only two but I would check out "Sails on the Horizon" and "Enemy in Sight".

Such a good time period in history to read about.

I'm a big fan of Jim Dale, but I wonder if we folks in the States can order the Fry versions off amazon.co.uk, never tried.

I always remember the phrase in a book of Stephen's essays, (I am paraphrasing from memory here), "my head is more full of noxious fluids than the local swimming baths".

I laughed out loud when walking down the street and coming upon that section.

Saving TWIT for my bus ride to work tomorrow morning.

Leo - Since you have the Jim Dale version you shouldn't feel guilty about BitTorrenting the Stephen Fry version of the harry potter books - http://www.mininova.org/tor/648335 - He is brilliant.

Arien, you can definitely get Stephen Fry's "Harry Potter" readings from Amazon UK. I don't care for Jim Dale (he almost doesn't sound British enough), but I have all the Stephen Fry "Potter" CDs.
