On the latest TWIT Leo was the only one on the panel on Jaiku. Do you feel like Jaiku is underrated?

I've never used Twitter, but it seems to me the biggest benefit is a large member pool. Seems like the twit channel on Jaiku is just a little light on chatter.
I used twitter for a while and loved it. Soon enough the novelty wore off considering I don't have too many tech saavy friends. Then I picked up an N800 and use the mauku app here. Feels more like a community.
I think Jaiku also suffers from a lack of third party support. Unless you really go digging, it looks like the only ways to use Jaiku are via the website or Nokia phones. Twitter, on the other hand, practically begs you to set up SMS and IM, and maintains a page of third-party clients, browser plug-ins and services that hook into it.
All of that flexibility and "syndication" adds up to be a lot of free press, cuz a growing number of places you go on the web—from other web 2.0 services to newspapers that just discovered Twitter—all have something they can contribute or pimp about Twitter.
To help create some buzz and get its name out there, I think Jaiku needs to seriously start pimping its API to developers and other services to start creating third party cross-compatibility. The more places it can get its name out, the more visible and appealing it will be to use and share with friends.
@davidchartier: Totally agree. It's even difficult to find the link to the Jaiku mobile client for S60 phones. I usually just Googled for the link. :P Making the link more visible would be an easy thing to fix...
