Does anyone know of a good place to get official brand N800 replacement batteries? To be shipped to Norway. Can't find any on any Nokia site

N800 batteries are the same as the ones used in the Nokia E61 and E61i. Are you not able to get those in Norway?

It is not the same one as is used in the E61i, not according to what I can remember from the research I did some weeks ago anyway. The And the E61 is not for sale, no. I have asked around in shops. Only a few of them even offers standalone batteries at all, those who do have to order it, and for them the battery in question is not one available for them to order.

    Oh, really?

I have just checked my N800's battery and the batteries on my E61 and E61i. The battery model is BP-5L.

Oh? A Google search puts E61i at BP-4L.

    E61's battery is a BP-5L: http://www.nokia.com.sg/A4515398

But the E61i battery is listed as a BP-4L. Oddly mine is a BP-5L, maybe because it is a proto.

    Hope this helps.

Another thing: the BP-5L is also used by the Nokia 9500 Communicator, so if you have them in Norway, you can use those batteries too.

Nope, I checked that too. None of them are for sale in Norway, sadly. Anyone have any experience with http://www.foneshop.com/accessories/description/121 ? At least it is not shipping from further away than Britain.

you want the BP-5L OEM battery ...try this online store: http://www.wirelessground.com/nokiaoembp5l.html it is on the cheaper side as compared to the prices at nokiausa.com but the best bet would be to do a thorough search on froogle or ebay.... good luck with the norwegian customs (anything that costs more than 200NOK undergoes horrendous import taxes)...

That is a nice January sale! It probably will go over 200 NOK when shipping is included, but I can live with the taxes. Thanks!

Taxes would be an issue indeed. At least you guys can get batteries for the E61/E61i. I've got an E51 and Nokia has not started selling the batteries in the EMEA or APAC yet!

I'm a little sceptical when it comes to ebay. This looks good: http://www.qfonic.com/genuine-nokia-bp5l-battery-9500-p-1148.html?currency=GBP&language=en

Welcome to online shopping from a Norwegian perspective...

Though with shipping that high I might as well get it from the US rather than the UK. I'll shop around a little more.

Apparently my credit card wasn't authorised enough for that place. I'll try again tomorrow.

I like my non-genuine Hong Kong bp-5ls, which cost me maybe $20 for two when I bought them a year ago. They still work great; they and tthe genuine Nokia battery seem to be wearing out at the same rate.
