I don't think anyone has ever considered the possibility of 'malicious following.'
I know there is functionality to black-list a user so that their account is unusable. There's also some functionality in the SMS code about which notifications you see.
As far as I know there isn't any way for one user to block another user. It might make for a useful feature. How would you envisage it working?

We don't have explicit blocking in Jaiku partly because someone like @btucker will just create a new account in order to get around the blocks.
Currently the best thing you can do is to mark his posts as spam.

@adewale: but i dont want to make my profile private, nor i want him following me! there must be an option to block him/her/it, right?

@adewale: the same way it does on identica for example: you block an user, he cant follow you, he cant read your jaikus or replies, etc
sure s/he can logout (for those like me that have a public profile) or create a new account. but for most cases that should suffice!

In that case can you file a bug here: http://code.google.com/p/jaikuengine/issues/list
I'll also check with @termie to see if the anti-spammer feature is cleverer than I remember.
