Is it common and well-known that jaiku only queries imported RSS feeds 2-3 times a day? With the bunching up of items that really sucks :(.

well, its a computationally intensive process to retrieve those RSS feeds, plus most sites don't update that often. Any more often than that, and I'd probably unsubscribe from it.

Hmm, that's a valid point. So what we would need would be a "query this feed no more than every X hours" setting associated to the feed imports. Trying to get the #stocks channel to import stocktwits.com stuff - which needs more real-time capabilities to have it make any sense..

I don't import RSS feeds into Jaiku. I already have all that set up at FriendFeed and MyBlogLog, so it would feel redundant to do it here.

oemperor, if you use ff, what do you actually need jaiku for? Really curious, cause I need to decide what to keep using - which I find hard! Where do you see jaiku's edge over ff?

Sorry for the extremely belated reply. The first advantage of using Jaiku natively is that FriendFeed does not show complete Jaiku threads or comments. The second advantage is that the best way to reach certain people is via Jaiku. (Same holds for MySpace.)
