can someone please give me a reason to own a ps3. i cannot find a excuse to get one!!! surely the playstation store has 299 quid of value?

OT: The #jaiku channel really isn't for miscellaneous questions like this. It'd be better if you searched for a more appropriate channel. There probably is a tech or gaming channel that would get you more feedback.
And if you can't find a reason to buy a PS3, then why would you? :) Personally I think the Wii is a lot more fun, but that's because I'm a so-called casual gamer. I'm not into first-person shooters or sports games like Madden or whatever where high-end graphics are important. I prefer puzzle games and fun stuff that is more likely found for a Wii console.

if you have a big hdtv then the blue ray player is nice to have. but im more of an xbox 360 fan myself.

I am a xbox man also but would consider self a fan of gaming not of any one system
