Any development on Jaiku's getting a US SMS code? I'd love to be able to post to Jaiku with my ordinary cell phone.

I use a SLVR and don't have a data plan set up. I'd rather update via txt like you can on Twitter.

ditto. Posting via text is the way to go, especially for Canadians since no unlimited data plan exists here right now.

that's the entire issue. Jaiku is working to accept SMS messages from North American phone providers. Right now they are not recognized.

totally agree. I tried it for 3 days thinking I was missing something.

It is now one of the most talked about topics in their support group.

Since Google took over, I've been hoping for a fix for this, but still nothing. Until this gets fixed, Twitter will still be the cooler choice.

C'mon Jaiku, it's a 30 second fix, just add "Doesn't work in North America yet." on the activation page.

It would be cool if they had a number in every country. Here in Denmark we have to SMS to Finland, and it's rather expensive.

@digitalmads: Not Finland, Sweden. +46 is for the drunken yellow/blue army.

@marks >> whoops, my bad. I just assumed it was Finland because Jaiku is (was) Finland based.

Don't know which is best :) At least with my mobile company 3 it costs the same for both countries (2,5 kr. for each SMS)...
