I can't confirm my e-mail. The confirmation mesage never arrives. It's on a Google App hosted domain. Any ideas?

Have you looked in your spam folder?

If it's not in there, email support@jaiku.com from the address you're wanting to confirm, let me know your username, and I'll take care of it.

@malach: Yep... when I say "never arrives" it sadly includes the spam label too... -_-

    I'll mail you... thanks ^_^

I run my own email server (my own hosting company) and my server won't accept confirmation emails from Jaiku at all because the email address sending the Jaiku message doesn't exist on the jaiku mail server, so sender verify failed, message rejected.

If places would properly setup reverse dns for their mail hosts and would only send email from email addresses that actually exist, much more real mail would get through. Sender verify is a very common and smart tactic to use to reduce spam. It is Jaiku's non-RFC-compliant email that is causing you not to receive it.

@opgoth - Wasn't me! I didn't get to look at your email until just now (I was away from my desk for a bit)

@lukwam - Sender Verify is one of those subjects that causes arguments all over the score - arguments which I, for one, prefer not to have.

Suffice it to say that this is the first complaint I've heard about people's mail server configs bouncing jaiku@jaiku.com emails, and that's rare enough that I really feel no stress about not 'fixing' something that works perfectly when talking to the vast majority of mail servers out there.

@lukwam: Yep... I thought something like that... thanks...

@malach: Bizarre... the last time I pushed the send buttom worked, it seems, with couple hours lateness... probably the problem was on Google's side... it's not the first time that the "Google Apps Realm" presents issues... ¬,¬
