Crikey I could never get away with a liquid lunch. I would slur my words after two for sure and sods law a manager or worse a client would call.
Saying that, I have been in the situation before where a team I led a while back got drunk at lunch time at a leaving bash and I got thankfully got to the phone first to take a call from the client who happened to conference call me in to a room full of people. Imagine the situation if someone else had picked up my phone. :D

I admit that I had it easy (I was a developer at the time) - I managed to join a couple of agencies in the mid 90s when things were very buoyant in the market and found work quite quickly.
been using a number of websites but you apply to a lot of jobs in the hope that one or two answer favourably. Got two or three nice bits of news yesterday but so far no jobs...
It's meant to take time and the longer I look the more places will have my cv in the long run. That may help me in the long run.

No work after 3pm policy in our office for Fridays so only an hour to go :)
