@myrtti, i was actually thinking about implementing a new finnish-only micro-blogging service based on Jaiku, if the codebase is worth it. Now I'm looking at laconica, but Jaiku would be a lot readier.
People should also consider making a GitHub mirror of the project so that they can experiment in public before generating patches to submit back to the main Google Code project
