Anybody working on a one-way or even two-way location synchronisation between Jaiku and FireEagle?

    I'm not but i have a bet as to whether the first intergration comes from jaiku or Twitter and geo aware apps like twibble...a online tool that scans feeds from Jaiku, twitter, facebook and Dopplr etc for your location and feeds that into Fire Eagle automagically is what I want.

    Does twitter even have any location type functionality? If I could send my Location updates from Jaiku to Plazes that would be enough for me at least. Some analyst thoughts on other interesting links from Redmonk here

    I just whipped up a quick PHP shell script that you can run from cron to update FireEagle from Jaiku

    Only city level so far, but I'm considering trying to geocode neighborhood information from Jaiku via GeoNames so it could be used in FireEagle for greater accuracy.

    Note: you will need PHP 5.2+ and the FireEagle library from http://fireeagle.yahoo.net/developer/code/php

    Update: Now the script tries to get more accurate location based on Neighborhood, if the data is available.
