Can you do things like play World of Warcraft, Counter Strike, edit videos and audio with the Adobe Creative Suite products, or is it more of a bare bones, business type system?

I've always used Windows, but I've been putting thought into getting into Ubuntu, but I don't want to if I can't play WoW, CS/CSS, edit videos/audio/podcasts, etc.

even though I consider Linus a friend of mine. :) I run OSX on the laptop, and OpenBSD on the server so I can sleep at night.

I keep playing with Ubuntu and Fedora Core, but I always go back to OS X. Besta part is, with Parallels, I can run them all whenever I want.

I used to dual-boot XP with Ubuntu... then I decided to try out SimplyMEPIS, but after a full reformat I never put Linux on my PC, I'm just to lazy I guess

I use Ubuntu, but have never played WoW or CS. You can edit video and audio, but with open-source tools (Kino and Audacity, respectively). See OSalt for other open-source alternatives to Windows programs, most of which should be in the Ubuntu repositories. Also, you can check the Wine appdb to see what windows programs run under wine (I see WoW 2.x seems to work ok?)
