Anyone else thinks that Jaiku's icons are not expressive at all ? I mean come its full of cars and trains and the computer icon... so mindnumbingly unimaginative !

In my own opinion, they might be unimaginative, but they are general, representative of different things, so it does help sort through the different aspects of people's posts. Like if you are a lil geek and are constantly posting computer-related stuff (there's so few of us) then you attach the lil computer thing :D
Ok sure, but just how many types of trains do you need ? People use the thunder/rain to express emotions ffs. Couldn't they provide some more things to cover other needs than 'Im writing this hanging from a bus handle like a bunch of grapes, come reap me k thx bai' or 'I'm typing this sitting in front of my computer so a computer icon seems reasonable' .
Yeah, and they are slowly adding a few more as I'm sure you've noticed. You do have a point, best you can do is come up with a list of icons you think would be suitable to integrate here. I for one vote for a soccer icon :D Either that, or an "I'm pissed off! How dare he/they!" There's not enough "I'm mad" icons
