Is that Danish Telia in the tethering list? <http://photos.media.macrumorslive.com/p/2009-06-08/f1244484180.jpg>. Not that it matters with their 3G (or so I've heard)…
Lir!
OK TextBooks are going to be sold by a company called ScrollMotion they annonced a book buying app callled Iceberg - I wonder if the iPhone has the right formfactor for this - print is print - and many have failed here - content isn't all you need to get right
I'm sure they're using the local Wi-Fi for AirStrip - I have knowledge of one medical app for Mac OS X that is highly network automatable, using XML-RPC - how secure that is, is somewhat questionable however
Kim, my concern is with the Push server failing, resulting in a delay of vitally critical vital information, leading to the death of patients — will Apple be to blame? My guess is they don't want that risk, so enterprises may perhaps be able to run their own internal Push servers, so they're not reliant on the general public Push servers hosted by Apple.
You're right, it is HIGHLY mission critical, I don't know much about the way push is implemented in 3.0 - but if it relies solely on the Apple cloud it's not really useful
Apple is carving out a self-sustainable niche of gadget-hungry developers-developers-developers - and yes, you need a Mac to join the club - clever strategy, and it has long since gained critical mass
(I guess I'm still a "little" interested in Apple afterall...the major difference is that I'm not jumping into any discussions on the boards - I just know that they're all oh-so disappointed...)
I'm sure you know what you're talking about (I know you do - because you always do ;-)) - I'm just amazed that my lowly Nokia 5500 has, what I feel is a compass - and it might be that it is hardware assisted

iPods plejer at blive annonceret i September.

"WOW": et SD kort slot...
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
That can only mean SD card in iPhone, right?

FireWire er tilbage!
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
No, SD card in the MacBook! They're doing a total refresh of the Pro Laptops - and added 13" Pro version

Safari 4 scorer 100/100 i Acid 3 i følge Apple...

5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
Prisen på Snow Leopard bliver...$29! Kommer ud til September. Nu: iPhone!

Wondering if those 40 million devices count as Mac OS users, easy way to inflate your user base by 50 million!

Good question - in a way they are

USB Tethering, that's quite interesting. Given enough bandwidth, definitely no more need for a USB 3G dongle.

iPhone location detection, sounds awesome and awfully scary.

@novemberborn my thought exactly - maybe I should switch to English ;-)

"(Airstrip) supports custom Push notifications based on parameters you define. Shows a live monitor of the patient's vitals from anywhere."
Wow, that sounds like a huge legal liability. Curious if Apple's infrastructure is used, or if companies can use their own push server.

It's not about local Wi-Fi, it's about who's providing the pushed data.

(and yes, indeed - it could be easily tampered with)

Yea yea yea, cool apps… show us the hardware!

Too bad the accessories demo failed - the guy handled it pretty smoothly though

A thousand apps for Nokia? That's gotta hurt

3GS!

Don't really care about the specs, what do they look like?

7.2Mbps HSPDA, plus Tethering? Rock!
5 months, 3 weeks ago by novemberborn
3 MP camera — camera still sucks
5 months, 3 weeks ago by novemberborn
Voice Control Interface - will that only work on the new hardware? Most likely!
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
Reorienting map using the compass, that's quite neat.
5 months, 3 weeks ago by novemberborn
Compass sounds great, but will it work without the map?
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
Will have a hardware API no doubt.
5 months, 3 weeks ago by novemberborn
But when will it come to Denmark?! :)
5 months, 3 weeks ago by novemberborn
Strangely Denmark wasn't listed on the graphic I saw - so maybe that will be in the first wave...
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
Well the 3Gs is listed in the Danish Apple Store, but of course Telia hasn't updated anything on their site
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach

99.se writes that iPhone 3Gs will arrive in Sweden in July
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
iPhone have always had a compass.. hardly worth a update.
5 months, 3 weeks ago by EsbenThomsen
(you're right, of course it has - I just don't have a compass app - and it might have some hardware tricks as @novemberborn mentioned)
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
What makes you think the iPhone 3G has a compass? AFAIK it does not.
5 months, 3 weeks ago by novemberborn
With build-in GPS it can emulate one - that's what I (and I suppose @EsbenThomsen) meant
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
Uhm, no, you can't.

(hmm come to think about it, I was using an external GPS device with my S60 phones, it might be more advanced than I was aware of)
5 months, 3 weeks ago by kimbach
If you have the time, you can calculate N/S ;)
