Hi Tim, Michael wrote (via email) that he'd give me a call when he got back from that trip to CA with his mom, but I never heard any more from him -- so I don't know what the scoop is. Hopefully he's doing okay...
Wishing you and your family a HAPPY SPRINGTIME in Connecticut, Tim, and the same to Michael, wherever he happens to be!
I hope he's OK as well. He said he had some good news here in Jaiku and I have not heard from him since.
Yes, we're looking forward to spring! Hope yours is nice as well. There are leaf buds on the trees and our son keeps talking about going for a boat ride and launching "biiiig" model rockets (he's 19 months old). We keep telling him that's what we're going to do this summer :-)
Oops, I forgot about Michael's good news message on Jaiku... Perhaps he has jetted off to work with NASA, ESA, & JAXA -- some secret (for now) international collaboration on the Space Elevator?! Wouldn't that be wonderful if the whole world could work together on this?
Springtime... It has definitely sprung here in the Pacific Northwest too! I'm always delighted with Mother Nature's "grand awakening"!!
Gosh, at 19 months to already be fascinated with rockets... Sounds like this is probably a case of "like father, like son" ;-)
Yes, I'm hoping Michael has some good news like that ;-)
Not only does my son talk about rockets, but he constantly talks about, looks for and points out the moon....and has since he was only a few months old. The other day I said we'd have to look at the rings of Saturn through my telescope and about 20 minutes later he said "Saturn. Rings." That's my boy!
Hey, at least now we know he hasn't been stranded on a deserted Island :-) I went to Michio Kaku's lecture/book signing last week for his newest publication -- PHYSICS OF THE IMPOSSIBLE: A Scientific Exploration Into the World of Phasers, Force Fields, Teleportation, and Time Travel. What a great talk (as usual!) and I'm looking forward to reading the book!!

Your son sounds like a prime candidate for the first man to walk on Mars!

I keep saying he's going to be an astronaut :-) I also tell him often that one day he may actually get to walk on the Moon.

Michael has posted some links to del.icio.us in the past several days, so I know he's around somewhere!
