Matt: how hard is it to make money?
Karjalainen: eventually we figured out what to sell and how.
Karjalainen: right local partners are important in going international.
Halinen: hard part - to accept a failure and cut it out.
Can you start a company on your own? Koponen: you need someone to discuss ideas. Karjalainen: you need complementary skills.
Ville is asking about Jaiku. Koponen: we had a business model :)
How to get feedback from users?
Karjalainen: we were using it ourselves in the beginning. Now we even go to user's homes and explore how they use the service.
Halinen: Finland is a good lab but it does not have customers. Go out. Karjalainen: Indonesia - good lab.
Jaiku - the better Twitter :)
Koponen: realized the value of pr.
Focus on the end-user experience.
Halinen: the hardest time was the beginning.
Karjalainen: first you create value, the money comes much later.
Core competence in-house. Outsource what you understand but is not in your core.
@Kitti, first you create value. I agree!
