Installing a Jaunty beta, noticed one of the keyboard layout options is "USA - Macintosh". Maybe pre-defined shortcuts to make it easier?

Wow this went a while with no reply sorry. I haven't tried it as I've never owned a Mac but I would hope that layout is optimised in some way. How did you get on?
I wrote 'beta' to mean not ready yet. It's really alpha 2. Had problems with the display on my Thinkpad, so I'm looking around for more basic hardware or alpha 3 before trying again.

I don't have a mac, but I remember that one of @overpills' main complaints was the keyboard layout. If Linux gives users an option to optimize the keyboard to what they are accustomed to on a mac, that is awesome!
Ah ok I get you, yeah it really should offer some kind of customised keyboard support. I know she installed on a VMware virtual machine within her Mac and the keyboard shortcuts didn't work but I think this might be because it was a VM. Would need to investigate
