I expect it would be pretty slow but you gain definite geek points for doing so :D Is it usable for you or too slow?

Oh it's very usable... it just seemed slower getting pages but was actually the screen update time.
Open Office works well too.
I'm running it all over SSH too

Impressive stuff, I never really tried remote X but it's a great options to have I think :)
This is not to be geeky... but because I didn't want to configure the boxes standing in front of an aircon that's main aim in life is to freeze my B*ll@cs off
Hehehe well whatever the reason it still earns you geek points... and not freezing of course ;)
further experiments has got the fully gnome desktop on my PC... has been a bit of trial and error to find which binarys to run.
Anyone used Ulteo here? o.o
