In our practise, we use twitter with hashtags and Jaiku with channels.

~Ive used channels to organize a bowling club, only problem was that some members didn't want to use jaiku as a semi-social tool. So, I want a bebo/myspace/youtube plug in to track and manage loads of different commenting systems in one place so we can connect with each other vertically. This way I can comment to a jaiku channel through my facebook account, or whatever I use. OpenID goes someway to reducing the sign me up hassle but its not as easy as I want it.
