For those with a Flickr account: do you upload your photos to Flickr only and use a Facebook app, or do you upload them twice?

@zenera: Agreed. I use zuPort too, for both my flickr pics and YouTube videos.

@adonisdemon: That would be the ideal, but it doesn't feel right to me ;-)

    @Rubin - I like to have a backup set.

@adonisdemon Do you mean Facebook is your Flickr backup, or the reverse?

@Rubin - Flickr is my Facebook backup.

@adonisdemon: I see... I thought of doing that, but I saw two issues: 1. the time it takes to upload twice; and more importantly, 2. importing old photos from Flickr to Facebook

Upload twice (+ to Twango) because som...most of my FB friends don't understand Flickr and I'd like to share my photos with them too.

@Yoggel -You seem to have enough backups there! LOL

@Rubin - Ofcourse i have my backup on my HD, with the new Flickr upload system it's easier to do bulk uploads. I only put some of my photo's on Facebook, only those relevant to Facebook itself. Flickr has a lot more stuff I use for other things, i.e. imagehosting etc..

@pirita: If this is your only concern, I would strongly recommend you get the zuPort app for Facebook. That's what I'm doing right now, like I said.

More and more of my friends ("real life" as well as "online" friends) are joining Facebook. My contact list there already covers 75-80% of my Flickr contacts.

Facebook has almost already replaced YouTube for my videos, and if not for the continuity issue (I'm a neat freak like that), I would very seriously consider doing the same for my photos.

What's the storage limit on Facebook, by the way? Is there even one?

@romek: I didn't exactly mean you or my online-originated/eligible friends...I mean my "staple" FB friends who are funnily enough people I've known for 10-20 years BUT so far offline only. They have now suddenly flocked web2.0 after FB opened. And I actually feel a bit annoyed about all these newcomers...

@yoggel - We all have theories, just a shame or maybe fortunate we don't always follow them through!

The thing about Web2.0 is they all seem to be linked awefully together, so if you don't have something, you can't do something elsewhere. But maybe I'm being pessimistic and not seeing the glass is half full?

Of interest: here's a way to transfer your flickr photos to Facebook (you'll have to do that one at a time, though): http://www.keebler.net/flickr2facebook/

I too use zuPort for both Flickr and YouTube. I prefer to use best of breed apps and use Facebook as a kind of aggregator. The platform makes this possible. zuPort is superior to the other Flickr apps on Facebook because it doesn't require your friends to have it installed in order to see your photos on your profile or in you feed.

kodak moments go straight n73 > flickr (web upload, middle quality), few take the route BT to PB, preview, compare, sort, rename, QS > flickr (mostly high-res, pick the best), remaining go into iphoto '06, are rotated, rated, colour-synced etc. and then... in theory ...upped on flickr, properly tagged & sorted in sets.

thereafter, and we're know entering an utopian kiwiverse, personal & flickr faves are upped into one of my four FB photo albums... i'm old-school thefacebook user, trying to keep things neat & clean.
