Animated map goodness

map2.jpgWe launched a minor new release of the Web site today. It includes performance improvements and a bunch of small cosmetic fixes.

There’s also now a new, nifty animated map on the jaiku.com front page that displays the latest public Jaikus from people around the world. (If you are currently signed in, you need to sign out first to see the map).

The map looks for country names so if you want your Jaikus to show up, add your country to your location in the sidebar when you’re signed in.

Well I cant login! I was able to before but now I cant. It doesnt even recognise my email address when I try to use the “Forgot My Password” feature!!!!!

Nice idea. But it’s too bad that we can’t be signed in and see the map at the same time (since once logged in the homepage is not the jaiku’s one anymore but the personal overview). Sure you can fix that easily, can’t you ?

small feedback. the delete option for a jaiku doesnt delete the jaiku but takes u to the jaiku page and then u have to delete from there. can this be corrected?

a cool pop up asking “confirm want to delete” or something along those lines would be cool.

this only happens in “a moment ago” jaikus i think. my older ones seem fine.

Love the map, but wish it could be on our home page.

Why can’t signed-in users see it?
Surely it wouldn’t be that difficult to whack the beautiful map at the top of the Explore page, would it?
